Inspired by the stories of past and present day change makers, this weekly program in Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation will motivate your kids to be the next great innovator or entrepreneur. This is the place you explore the innovations big and small that have made the world what it is today, and step into the stories of the real-life rule breakers and boundary pushers who created them.

Join the Innovation Nation movement during our Saturday hands-on, minds-on activities targeted for youth ages 8 - 12 and engage in “learning by doing” experiences that bring practical problem-solving to life, and to consider how, they, too can have a stake in shaping the future. Be inspired with monthly Innovator Demos, talks by entrepreneurs who share how they turned their ideas into action, and learn side by side with engineers and inventors who are changing our world. All while being surrounded by and connected to the stories and achievements of innovators over time.

Build design thinking skills, like animation fun with Pixar, circuit board-building and skitter bot-animating, will engage young tinkers and hackers. Demos and visits from inventors that have appeared on featured on The Henry Ford’s Emmy Award-winning TV series, Innovation Nation, turn a bot-project into a passion for learning, showing what is possible if you start now. Pop-up talks in the galleries and Live Skype session in the Giant Screen Experience immerse future leaders in this rich heritage.

Let’s make something together.
