What if my child is sick or needs to be absent? Can we make up a missed class?
We understand that schedules change. To maintain our low child/instructor ratio, you may not drop in on other sessions, nor will the museum issue refunds for any sessions you miss.

What if the museum is closed due to inclement weather?
In the event that the museum closes for weather-related emergencies or building issues, the museum will issue free admission passes for each registered participant. Use yourself or share with friends and family!

Can I bring two children?
Your registration fee allows one child and one adult to participate in each session. You are welcome to register a second child (a friend or sibling within the session age range) for an additional $25 (members and nonmembers alike).

Can I bring an older or younger sibling?
No. Young Scientists is designed for an adult/child pair to participate together. Please find alternative care for older or younger siblings outside the session age range.

Can I bring an additional adult to class?
No. Due to room size and program capacity limits, we only have space for one participating adult to attend each session. If you bring an additional adult or sibling to the museum who are not registered for the session:

  • Members can visit the museum free-of-charge while classes are in session.
  • Non-members must pay museum admission to visit the museum while classes are in session.
