6 Must-Have Natural and Eco Friendly Baby Products

Taking care of your baby means that you’re putting all your time and energy into tending to their needs. It is much easier to do this when you have all that you need to take care of your little one at home. This article explores the six essential natural and environmentally friendly baby products that you should pick up to make parenting a little easier.

1.  Natural Diapering Options

To prevent diaper rash, go with an all-natural diaper that leaves your baby free of harsh ingredients. Natural diapers are much softer on the skin, leaving your baby feeling more comfortable. Natural diapering is also more durable than traditional, disposable diapers, so you’ll save time and money as you’ll no longer need to run out constantly for a new pack.

2.  Organic Diaper Creams

Diaper rash is uncomfortable for your baby and, to make matters worse, many diaper creams are loaded with chemicals. Choose an organic diaper cream that will leave your baby relieved of irritation. Always be sure to read the label so you can feel confident in your purchase. Unnatural chemicals can wreak havoc on gut health, immunity, and more.

3.  Natural Baby Wipes

Just like your diapers, you want to help your baby stay clean and comfortable, naturally. Consider using bamboo baby wipes to avoid ingredients known to cause diaper rash.

After all, it’s always a good idea to choose natural wipes that do not disturb the balance of bacteria in your baby’s system. Imbalances can lead to candida overgrowth and contribute to issues like eczema and oral thrush.

Natural baby wipes made with eco friendly materials often hold up longer and demonstrate greater absorbency when compared to traditional wipes. With more time on your hands, you can focus on spending time with your baby.

4.  Organic Baby Carriers

When you’re ready to take the little one on a walk (or just to the kitchen and back), you want them breathing in materials free of dyes and toxins. Choose soft, organic baby carriers and baby wraps made of eco friendly dyes.

Many of these alternatives are deliberately soft, so your baby feels cozy and close as you move from place to place. Many carriers have built-in swaddles, so your baby feels safe and secure wherever you roam.

5.  Organic Towels and Blankets

After enjoying the water at bath time, you might use an organic cotton or bamboo bath towel to swaddle your little one. Similarly, when they are ready for a nap, make sure your baby is cuddled up in organic blankets for breathable and toxin-free comfort.

Also, make sure to line the baby’s room with natural rugs that are easy to clean. Many natural rugs are machine washable and contain super soft cotton for your baby to enjoy while laying around or crawling.

6.  Natural Nursery Décor

As your baby learns to explore their surroundings, help them do so safely by choosing natural décor. We recommend going with natural crib lining, preferably with recycled production fabrics. You can also find organic, cotton stuffed animals that allow your baby to play without breathing in chemicals. Choose cotton stuffed animals whenever possible, so your little one is free to cuddle with their teddy bear.

The Bottom Line

Selecting natural baby products is about thinking over the items your baby will come into contact with. Diapers, baby wipes, stuffed animals, rugs, and baby carriers are some of the items they will interact with daily.

Remember, when in doubt, buy organic! Choose natural products for your baby’s health, and you’ll be doing your part to keep your baby environmentally safe!
