Great news: Funtastic Play Center in Woodhaven has reopened under new ownership and with a new name: Mandee’s Funtastic Play Center. They are an indoor play ground center catered to children from birth up to around eight years old. The play space offers open play throughout the week as well as private parties on the weekends.
Last week our family visited this fun indoor play place so we could share our experience with you.
Indoor Play Place in Woodhaven
The indoor play space is expansive with padded play areas as well as a two-story playscape. The playscape includes different obstacles such as monkey bars, a zip line, a rock wall, together with many others creating hours of fun for guests. Additionally, the soft play stage area (perfect for younger guests) offers smaller shapes for building and playing.
Our children (ages ranging from 18 months up to age 12) were very entertained for the two hours we visited. However, my 12 and 8 year old children spent most of their time following around the younger children in the group, supervising and facilitating play. This is a great space for mixed ages groups as the space is smaller, therefore making it easy to monitor.
Mandee’s Funtastic Play Center is a great place to host your next birthday party, field trip, play group or just drop in during the week to play. Check the weekly schedule before you visit as Funtastic may close to the public for a private party or a field trip.
The indoor play center offers free WIFI in their café. Finally, the facility has a kitchen where they prepare many different cafe items for their guests which cater to both children as well as adults.
Mandee’s Funtastic Play Center Hours
The facility hosts open play during the week. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday hours are from 9 am until 8 pm. While Wednesday and Thursday hours are from 11 am until 8 pm.
Toddler time is available for children ages two and under on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 am until 11 am.
It is important to note that the kitchen closes one hour before open play ends. Also, Funtastic closes to the public on the weekends in order to host private parties.
Mandee’s Funtastic Play Center Location
The indoor play center is located at 20372 Van Horn Rd Woodhaven MI 48183.
The facility is between Allen and Hall, only a couple of minutes from I-75. Currently, due to construction, Allen Rd is closed. If coming from Fort St, you would travel west on Van Horn and we are on the right just past the bowling alley. If traveling east from Telegraph/Hall/Ford, there is a barrier but it allows for local traffic, just have to drive around. They will be on the left.
Funtastic Admission Rates
Open play is $10 for walking children and $5 for crawling. However, they run different specials as well for guests to choose from as well through out the year, so be sure to follow them on Facebook for up to date hours and special offers.
