Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern

Recently I was invited to attend a private event at the Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern on Telegraph in Bingham Farms. It was a wonderful opportunity for a night out with my husband (thanks grandpa for the babysitting) and to try the food and drinks at place my husband and I have both driven by several times.

I was impressed and delighted on several accounts, even before sampling the evenings delicious treats. Fresh produce is brought in five days a week from a local company out of Eastern Market. Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern prides itself on made-from-scratch dishes. Nearly every dish is made fresh in the kitchen. We were even told a wonderful story about regulars who requested soft pretzels and beer cheese dip. With some ingenuity and work in the kitchen, they were rewarded (not on the menu, but you can request it!).

Rusty Bucket also goes out of their way to appeal to kids. They know that if the kids are happy, moms and dads can enjoy themselves too. The have a kids book club and Kids Live Well program in which the kids meals all meat careful and specific standards for calorie and wellness.

The Bingham Farms location where I dined at has a private room that is available for free that holds 24 and the patio holds 60. The patio is open year round and is heated during the winter. Reservations are available for groups of 8 or more and there is call ahead seating. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm.
